Tekton just launched a brand new tool module and storage system based on the Bosch and Sortimo L-Boxx Contractor system.
Introducing… *drumroll please*… Tekton RIG.
Thank you to everyone who wrote in about this!
It’s going to take me some time to digest everything, but I couldn’t sit on the post any longer. Well, I could, but it’s clear readers want to talk about it.
At this time, there’s a 5-drawer tool box in “lunar white” or “slate gray,” a small tool box, 4-wheel rolling cart, and a worktop. A 3-drawer tool box and rolling tool box are on the way.
There’s also going to be more. So much more, from the sounds of it.
Tekton also has dividers, and removable bins.
And foam-tray tool kits. So many tool kits.
Tekton ROG is an entire ecosystem of tool modules and adaptable storage options, and they’re just getting started.
It looks well thought out. A lot of work must have went into this.
Buy the Tekton RIG tool boxes, and load them with your tools. Or buy Tekton foam tray tool sets, and load them into your other tool boxes or drawers.
Already have Tekton tools? Or maybe you destroyed your foam tray somehow? They sell replacements.
There are lots of reasons to choose Tekton. Great quality, transparent marketing, easy warranty policy.
Tekton RIG looks versatile and adaptable. It looks to me like they went out of their way to avoid locking users into strict combinations.
I am extremely optimistic. Plastic modular tool boxes will never replace steel roller cabinets. But there are lots of places where they make more sense.
I have been testing another brand’s modular tool box-based mechanics tool set, and it has been working out very well. The form factor has been great. This has fueled my excitement about Tekton even more, as it seems they offer almost everything I love about using the competing product and added in customization.
