Lowe’s has the brand new Dewalt DCS359 20V Max XR cordless oscillating multi-tool.
I was introduced to the newest Dewalt 20V Max XR brushless oscillating multi-tool at a recent media event, and am extremely excited about the upgrades it offers.
Compared to the DCS356 that launched over 7 years ago, the DCS359 cordless oscillating tool gives you faster cutting performance, lower vibration, a brighter worklight, and a considerably more convenient blade change system with broader tool-free compatibility.
I’ll be getting my hands on one soon, and should be able to answer any questions you might have.
At the time of this posting, you can get the Dewalt DCS359E1 kit for $299 at Lowe’s and independent retailers.
It comes with the tool, an XR compact battery (formerly the 1.7Ah PowerStack), compact charger, and starter accessories including 2 cutting blades, sanding platen with sheets, and a depth guide.
The bare tool is available for $249.
If you’re looking for the most bang for the buck, Lowe’s also has a kit with the older model for $99 right now.
Amazon and other sellers have just the tool-only at that price. We’re bound to see more promos on the older 3-speed brushless OMT over the holiday season.
What about Home Depot? All I’m seeing right now is the older Atomic single-speed OMT tool kit at $129. It seems that Lowe’s is selling Dewalt’s latest greatest 20V Max XR cordless power tools either exclusively, or maybe just earlier.
