Bambu launched a new 3D printing filament called PLA Pure.
It’s designed to for “low indoor printing emissions,” and is “safe for kids to play with” thanks to EU toy safety standards.
They also say it’s made with 5 ingredients that are all separately “EU food-contact certified.” But, users’ prints won’t be guaranteed as being safe for food-contact.
Marketing claims aside, the new PLA Pure filament is available in white, black, and 3 pastel colors – milky pink, baby blue, and apricot orange.
Bambu says that PLA Pure “matches Bambu PLA Basic” filament in mechanical performance and has layer adhesion properties comparable to most other PLA filaments presently available.
They also say it exhibits less stringing than “typical third-party PLA.”
It’s compatible with Bambu AMS filament management systems.
I might give it a try, as I like the colors. Whether Bambu PLA Pure is safer than other PLA filaments is something I’ll leave you and others to debate.
