Home Depot has launched a new Husky magnetic tool mat that they say was “engineered to hold up to 40 pounds.”
It features a PVC outer layer designed to “protect surfaces and repel oils and grease.”
You can use it on horizontal surfaces and tool carts, and it also mounts and conforms to steel automotive components.
Some of Home Depot’s application examples seem a bit ambitious.

There are plenty of magnetic tool mats on the market. This one’s competitively spec’ed, and seems like a good value.

If you’re on the fence, keep in mind that Husky tools that launch for Home Depot’s Black Friday tool deals and gift center sometimes sell out and never return. Home Depot looks to have plenty in stock, but it’s unclear whether you’ll still be able to buy this in a few months.
