2026 Paris Motor Show
October 12, 2026, marks the first day of the 2026 Paris Motor Show. The event will set the stage for Lancia’s revived nameplate and the brand’s first-ever SUV, as part of Stellantis’ revival plan. The Italian marque is also celebrating its 120-year anniversary this November 2026, plus the 50-year anniversary of the Gamma nameplate.
Christened in 1976, the Lancia Gamma served as the brand’s flagship for years. After 50 years since its launch, we’re finally getting another successor. This time, it’s all modern, made in Italy, and electrified. The design, development, and manufacturing of this milestone model for Lancia have been set in stone at the Lancia Melfi Plant in Italy.

What We Now Know
When Lancia first released photos of the Gamma, the set included three images. Based on those images and the few details that Lancia shared at the time, it was safe to assume that it would be a premium-level car. Lancia also said it would be designed and made in Italy, which further cemented its positioning as a premium crossover SUV. The model will come in three trims: LS, LX, and HF Integrale.
The initial report also revealed that two types of powertrains will be available: a hybrid and a range of EV powertrains. The hybrid version will have 145 horsepower and up to 620 miles of range. Meanwhile, the fully electric version will have 230 horsepower, two-wheel-drive, and 335 miles of range at its base trim. The mid-tier two-wheel-drive variant will come with 240 horsepower and 460 miles of range, while the top-tier all-wheel-drive trim will get 375 horsepower and 420 miles of range.
Outside, it features a design that’s not dissimilar to the Ypsilon, which features the now-characteristic LED light bar at the front and the T-shaped LED bar at the back. The roofline terminates in a fastback, giving the Gamma a surprisingly athletic SUV stance.
Inside, Lancia employed the “Architecture of a Contemporary Italian Living Room,” designing the interior with the Italian style in mind. The interior has three sections: the tech zone, the wrap-around band, and the functional central tunnel. Lancia’s “coffee table” aesthetic is also enhanced by Lancia Glow ambient lighting and the brand’s SALA HUB software package. At its highest trim, the HF Integrale variant comes with a hi-fi 14-speaker audio system by Focal, adding an enhanced aural aspect to the cabin.

New Details
Lancia says the Gamma has six total ingredients. In its press release, it also confirmed that the Gamma will be based on the STLA Medium multi-energy platform. Lancia says its fastback design is unique in its segment and an ingredient in its formula.
Second is its efficiency component. Being an electrified vehicle, Lancia boasts that the Gamma is “remarkably efficient,” and it cuts through the air with a drag coefficient of just 0.25 cd, “the best in its class,” Lancia claims. The brand also touts some of the lowest energy consumption figures in its segment, proving that “elegance is always backed by substance,” Lancia stated.
Third is the vehicle’s interior space. Lancia crafted an interior with the “Italian Home Feeling” in mind, meaning it’s welcoming and comfortable. Next is the next ingredient: features — something Lancia hasn’t fully expounded on yet — and living with the Gamma. For these two ingredients, the brand remained coy.
The last ingredient, the sixth on the list, is the return of the HF Integrale trim after thirty years, a trim that was made famous by the Lancia Delta. That said, the Gamma looks to bring back the performance, composure, and refinement that are hallmarks of the Lancia brand.
As for the headlining features of the HF Integrale, Lancia is fitting adaptive suspension as standard on this top-of-the-line trim, along with a set of 21-inch forged wheels. Dual motors are fitted on this model

More Numbers
Beyond the marketing dribble, Lancia released more figures for spec-hunters. According to them=, the Gamma features an “exceptionally low rolling resistance of just 9.4 pounds per ton (U.S. short ton), which then translates to a range that is said to be up to 460 miles for the 2WD long-range version of the car. As for the hybrid, it emits just 193.12 grams per mile (g/mi) of carbon dioxide, which seems perfect for Europe, the market the Gamma was made for.
Owners can get up to 16.44 cubic feet of luggage space with all the seats up, and rear passengers can expect 25% more legroom, though Lancia didn’t specify the basis. The rest of the cabin features a dual 10-inch and 16-inch display for the driver and the central infotainment system, and there will be level 2 autonomous driving features on this car, called the SALA PRO System. Other features include Relax, Energize, and Entertainment modes, plus natural voice recognition software powered by SALA HUB.
The Gamma HF Integrale is the most powerful variant Lancia has planned for the model. At 90% battery charge, the Gamma has 375 horsepower, which dips to 350 horsepower once the charge goes below 90%. With all-wheel-drive traction, it can go from 0 to 62 miles per hour in just 5.1 seconds. There is also adaptive suspension as standard, and with this configuration, we’re getting 420 miles of range
Finally, more than 60% of the interior materials come from sustainable sources, totaling more than 1322 pounds of green material on board every Lancia Gamma. Lancia is also firm about its range figures, saying it can validate its claims through extensive testing spanning close to 450,000 miles (720,000 kilometers).
