Amazon kicked off their October Prime Day sales event yesterday with a fantastic deal on the fabulous Leatherman Charge Plus TTI multi-tool.
It looked to have sold out early, the deal was over.
I checked back earlier today, and no luck.
But, as I know how things go, I checked again a couple of times throughout the day, and it’s back!
At the time of this posting, they’re selling the premium multi-tool at half price – $99.98, down from $199.95.
It’s being sold via Leatherman Tool Group on Amazon with Prime fulfillment. The shipping ETA is pushed back into next week, suggesting that a replenishment order is en route to Amazon warehouses.
That’s no guarantee they have a lot to sell at 50% off. If in doubt, order quick. You should have some time to think things over and cancel if needed, but you might not get another chance if the Round 2 deal sells out.
Should you buy it? The Charge Plus TTI is a premium upgrade to the Wave, which is Leatherman’s most popular multi-tool.
This tool is a great pick for EDC (everyday carry) and outdoors enthusiasts. It’s no substitute for a well-stocked tool box, but it does fit in your pocket or on your belt.
There was a recall last year, and it looks like the Charge TTI was discontinued after that, as it doesn’t appear to be available on Leatherman’s site anymore. My links to the Charge Plus TTI now get automatically redirected to the Wave Alpha, which retails for $199.95.
The Charge TTI has a S30V blade steel, the Wave Alpha has MagnaCut (more premium). The TTI has decorated titanium handle scales, the Alpha has G10 (fiberglass epoxy composite).
Right now, the Wave is $130, the Wave Alpha is $200, and the Charge TTI is $100.
If you’re on the fence, buy it first, think about it later, cancel before it ships.
It looks like the deal end today, 10/7/2026, or earlier is supplies run out quickly again. This is late-in-the-day post. Apologies to daily newsletter subscribers who get the email tomorrow morning after it expired.
