Extra batteries are one of the easiest ways to make a cordless tool system more useful. If you’ve ever had a drill, impact wrench, circular saw, grinder, sander, or reciprocating saw die halfway through a job, you already know how annoying it is to stop everything and wait for a recharge. A pair of higher capacity batteries helps keep projects moving, whether you’re working in the garage, tackling home repairs, building something outside, or using multiple tools on the same job. They’re also especially useful for anyone who buys bare tools, since those deals are only really valuable if you already have enough batteries to keep everything running.
With this limited-time deal at Walmart, you can get the DeWalt 20V Max 5.0Ah Batteries on sale for just $106. They usually cost $249, so this is a huge discount on a 2-pack from one of the biggest names in cordless tools. Each battery has a 5.0Ah capacity and is designed to work with DeWalt’s 20V Max cordless tool lineup. DeWalt says these batteries offer up to 60% more capacity than standard 20V Max packs, which can mean more drilling, cutting, fastening, grinding, or sanding before you need to swap packs.
The biggest selling point here is that 5.0Ah batteries hit a sweet spot for a lot of tool users. Smaller batteries can keep drills and impact drivers light, but they don’t always last long enough for bigger jobs. Larger batteries can offer more runtime, but they also add bulk and weight, which gets old fast when you’re working overhead or using a tool for a long stretch. These packs weigh 1.4 pounds each, so they’re still manageable while offering enough runtime for more demanding tools like saws and grinders. The built-in LED fuel gauge is also useful because you can quickly check your charge before starting a project instead of guessing.
This 2-pack makes the most sense for people already invested in the DeWalt 20V Max ecosystem, especially DIYers, mechanics, contractors, or homeowners who use multiple cordless tools and want less downtime between charges.

“The battery lasted a lot longer than I was expecting and I couldn’t be happier,” commented one happy shopper. “You have two of these batteries, and you’re set for a whole work day using multiple tools.”
“These batteries are the perfect balance between weight and runtime,” said one buyer. “They will last easily all day long in smaller tools like drills or impact drivers.”
