BMW Wants Your New X5 to Look Faster With These M Performance Parts

BMW has had pretty big launches this year, and we can expect another huge one soon with the impending world reveal of the eighth-generation 3 Series. Right now, though, it’s the fifth-generation X5 that’s making a fair bit of buzz, mainly because it’s a huge evolution of a best-seller.

The G65 BMW X5 will reach showrooms by the fourth quarter of 2026. By then we’ll really know what the buying thinks of it, and whether the risks that the German automaker took for this redesign. The i3 and iX3 are important, yes, but the X5 should be the one bringing home the money for Munich.

Here, Have Some Goodies

Of course, BMW has been hyping up the all-new X5 to get people to flock into its showrooms. The specs for the U.S. model have been revealed, and you can even configure it on the official website right now. As for the rollout, the 40 xDrive model will launch first, followed by the other variants.

There’s more, too, as the aftermarket is also getting into it and finding ways to mod the SUV. Inevitably, BMW is also starting to roll out some goodies for its new X5, namely a new range of M Performance accessories for a car that isn’t even in showrooms yet. Spoiler alert: none of these make it any faster.

Look Fast Bits

So, what M Performance tidbits can you get for the 2027 X5? They’re mainly aero and cosmetic enhancements that give the SUV some zing. There’s the graphics package, which gives it black highlights, along with fiber composite caps and a rear diffuser. You can also get a three-part M Performance carbon fiber front splitter, and a taller rear tailgate spoiler.

BMW also showed the new M Performance wheel designs that will be made available for the X5. Sizes range from 21 inches to 23 inches, and there are four to choose from. As always with M Performance parts, you can buy individual pieces or go for the full package. Also, V8 models can be offered with a special exhaust arrangement.

Practical Options

BMW also showed other accessories that one can get for the X5 aside from the ones from M Performance. First, the roof boxes that are available in different sizes to suit various needs, and the company goes as far as saying the boxes are more aerodynamic than the older versions. For those planning to go on road trips with children or easily bored adults, phone and tablet mounts will be made available.
