If you find yourself in need of more garage space than you have, a carport is an easier, cheaper way to protect your car, truck, or boat from the elements. Right now, Walmart has a heavy-duty metal carport on sale for less than half of its normal price.
The Netaje 20-Foot by 12-Foot Steel Carport is just $460 at Walmart, 43% off its normal $800 price tag. That’s $340 of savings on a spacious, structurally sound shelter that creates 240 square feet of covered parking space.
This carport has a frame made from square steel tubing reinforced at 11 crucial points for maximum strength and durability. And where other carports might use canvas or a similar fabric as a roofing material, this model has a galvanized steel roof that’s UV-, rust- and water-resistant. The whole thing weighs 365 pounds, so it would take some pretty extreme winds to blow it away even without the reinforced base, essentially metal pieces that can be attached to the ground first and then the frame of the carport to anchor it to the ground. Waterproof sealant strips around the roof seams and soft rubber on the edges are nice touches for protection and safety.
