A reciprocating saw is a wonderfully versatile power tool, easily wielded to wreak havoc on demolition day, trim unruly branches off of trees, and slice through pipes made of PVC and metal alike. If you don’t already have a reciprocating saw, you’re missing out on one of the most useful (and satisfying) power tools there is. Luckily, Walmart has a bestselling reciprocating saw from DeWalt on sale with a substantial discount.
The DeWalt 20V Max XR Brushless Reciprocating Saw is on sale for $119 at Walmart, 40% off its normal $199 price tag. This deal is on the tool and one blade only; you’ll need a DeWalt 20V Max or FlexVolt battery to make it work, and we’d recommend a beefier option considering the heavy duty nature of this tool.
A combination of low price and high performance makes this a reciprocating saw for everyone, from DIY remodelers to professional contractors. All can appreciate the freedom of a cordless saw, but what sets this particular saw apart is how easy it is to use. Much of that is due to its brushless motor that delivers 1-1/8-inch strokes at two different speeds thanks to the variable speed trigger. It’s also fairly easy to maneuver, just 4 inches wide, and weighing in at 5.55 pounds sans battery. There’s an LED light to illuminate the cutting area, pivoting shoe to stabilize the saw, and a keyless blade clamp for quick blade changes without tools. It all adds up to a bestselling, highly rated reciprocating saw.

“The performance and power of this saw has been amazing,” one shopper wrote. It’s “smaller but just as powerful” as bigger DeWalt reciprocating saws, which makes it easy for this self-employed carpenter to “recommend this product for all phases of construction.”
Other customers wrote that this saw is “so powerful and compact” and “so well balanced that it makes any job a breeze.” Another called it a “beast of a saw” that “eats whatever you put under the blade.”
