A portable power station is a smart piece of storm-prep gear to have ready as fall and winter weather moves in. Power outages can turn into a real headache when you’re trying to keep phones charged, run a laptop, power a small appliance, or keep essential electronics going. These smaller portable generators are also useful in the garage when you need portable power near a workbench, project car, tool area, or anywhere an outlet isn’t conveniently located.
Right now, the Qunler 300W Portable Power Station is on sale at Walmart for $200, down from its normal $330 price. It has a 296Wh battery capacity, 300W output, and 600W surge rating, making it useful for phones, tablets, laptops, and small appliances under 300W. The pure sine wave inverter is designed to provide stable power for sensitive electronics, while the LCD screen lets you monitor operating status and battery level.
Pros
- Built-in 10W flashlight with SOS mode
- Pure sine wave inverter is better for sensitive electronics
- Nine total outlets for charging multiple devices at once
- Recharges by wall outlet, car socket, or solar panel
Cons
- Not powerful enough for large appliances or high-draw tools
- 296Wh capacity is solid, but still limited for extended outages
- Recharge time may feel long if you need quick turnaround
This power station includes nine total outlets, with AC outputs, USB-C PD 60W, USB-A QC ports, a regulated 12V output, and DC outputs for charging multiple devices at once. It can recharge from a wall outlet, car socket, or compatible solar panel in about five to six hours, though the solar panel is sold separately. The power station also runs quietly without fuel or fumes, and the built-in 10W flashlight with SOS mode adds extra usefulness for blackouts, camping, tailgating, travel, and power on the go.
“It’s absolutely amazing,” raved one happy buyer. “I’ve used it several times and have yet to recharge it.”
A second shopper kept it short and sweet, calling it, “A must-have during stormy weather.”
