Craftsman has launched a new cheaper cordless drill kit, model CMCD600D1.
The new Craftsman drill has a lower regular price than their other budget-focused models. At the time of this posting, it’s selling for just $59, and that includes the battery and charger.
Craftsman very noticeably advertises that their newest drill delivers MORE POWER VS. RYOBI.
Ryobi has bashed Craftsman plenty in social media comparisons. While I’m not usually a fan of competitive call-outs, I’d say that Ryobi had it coming.
Hart, Ryobi’s sibling company, has also posted some low blows against Craftsman.
How much more powerful is the new Craftsman drill? They don’t say. They simply says it delivers more power compared to Ryobi’s lowest featured entry price point model.
The new Craftsman CMCD600 is the brand’s least expensive drill – at the moment – and looks the part.
Features include a 3/8″ keyless chuck, up to 191 UWO motor that delivers more power vs. Ryobi, and speeds of up to 620 RPM.
The kit is bundled with a charger and 2Ah battery.
At this time, it’s priced at $59.
Ryobi’s comparable offering is $50 right now. It was just $35 as a Black Friday doorbuster deal last year.
Amazon is already shipping the drill, and I expect Lowe’s should be stocking it soon. At this time the Lowe’s listing says it’s “no longer available.” This is likely because it just launched – they do this with a lot of new releases.
