This Vaughan Mini Pry Bar is about as small as standard construction-type pry bars come.
It’s 5-1/2″ long and features nail puller slots and both flat and curved prying ends.
I have grown fond of pocket pry bars for random prying and part manipulation tasks, but nothing beats the utility of a tool like this.
It’s no-frills, but also tough.
I would say it’s a bit too large for very delicate tasks. But, you’ve got some small flathead screwdrivers around for that kind of work, right? Just kidding – there are other tools for smaller prying needs (see My Latest Tekton Order – Mini Pry Bars and a Stubby Screwdriver).
According to Vaughan’s new owners, the mini pry bar is assembled in the USA.
You can get your own at Amazon for around $9. There’s a Dasco-branded one too, but for some reason it’s $1 more.

I consider the Nite Ize Doohickey to be the reigning value champ, with a price under $6.
It’s not going to pry nails, but it’ll wedge itself through plenty of very small prying jobs.
