Keurig sent over their K-Mini Mate Plus compact single serve coffee maker, and I couldn’t believe how small it was.
I was at the gym a few months ago, and checked my email between exercises. Keurig had reached out about the new K-Mini Mate Plus.
They reached out because Keurig was running some Father’s Day promotions, “making it easy to find dad something he’ll love at an accessible price point, including.”
Samples would be available.
My trainer was nearby, and I asked him hey, do I want a Keurig? “YEAH!
“Did you know that you can also make cold brews with some models?” No, I did not.
Okay, cool. I chatted with the Keurig rep and they sent over the K-Mini Mate Plus.
This is one of those models where you can brew 8, 10, or 12oz of hot coffee, or “brew over ice” for cold beverages.
Keurig says it “fits anywhere.” The Keurig K-Mini Mate Plus is less than 5″ wide. With a footprint that narrow, I think their “fits anywhere” claim seems pretty accurate.
It has a 50oz reservoir that can be removed to refill.
The next time I was at the gym I asked the trainer if he had a Keurig. “No.” Why not? One of the top reasons he gave me was the size. I also thought that Keurigs took up a lot of space. Less than 5″? That’s pretty small, and I can see how it could fit in even smaller kitchens, offices, and maybe workshops.
Keurig points out that it can fit in dorm rooms and other places with limited counter or shelf space.
I passed the sample package to my trainer. He drinks a lot more coffee and brewed drinks than I do, and also has a smaller kitchen. We’ll see how that works out.
It’s now back to school season. Keurig sent me ANOTHER K-Mini Mate Plus. I think I’m going to keep this one.
There’s a brand of cocoa that I like (Land O’ Lakes), but they don’t make K-Cups. A quick check online shows that I can pour the packet into a cup and use the Keurig’s hot water function. The Starbucks ones are supposedly good too.
They sent me another coffee sampler pack. I’ll give that a try too. Maybe I’ve finally grown enough to like the taste of coffee. And if not, there are plenty of other hot and cold beverage options.
I’m glad I said yes, and then yes again. Thank you Keurig!
