Festool 18V Cordless Reciprocating Saw Cutting

Festool is launching a new 18V cordless reciprocating saw, model ERSC 18.

This is their second cordless recip saw, and first one that I know of to feature a one-handed design similar to the Milwaukee Hackzall and others.

Festool says it will be “your reliable companion for swift cuts on any construction site.”

There’s a nub above the battery compartment, creating a hook shape that lets you hang the tool around the jobsite.

Festool also says there will be a dust extraction attachment to allow for “low dust operation.”

At this time, they have only shared images of a tool-only kit, complete with Festool Systainer tool box, vacuum attachment, and starter blade.

Performance Specs: 1″ (25.4mm) stroke length, 0-3000 SPM stroke rate. The saw weighs 1.80 kg (~4 lbs) without accessories (and presumably without a battery).

USA pricing and availability have not yet been announced.
