WorkPro quietly launched new tiny long nose pliers that look perfect for EDC (everyday carry) and compact tool kits.

Most mini pliers have smaller jaws for precision work. These just look to be shortened pliers with a 4.5″ length.

The pliers have a slip joint mechanism, for opening the jaws wider.
They also have 3 different jaw zones – a wide section with heavy serrations for gripping larger or rounded parts, a long nose section with what look to be aggressive cross-hatched serrations, and a serrated section on the outer jaws.

WorkPro describes these as an “EDC Essential.”
They also describe the pliers as “pocket sized,” but I think these will tear up my pockets and whatever else is in them.
The end of the handle has a lanyard loop. Maybe there are alternative carry options.

They are said to be corrosion-resistant with an anti-rust coating.

The pliers are fairly compact – smaller than a phone.

It’s also available in a silver finish.
Price: $17
Now, let’s talk about how in the “ready for emergencies’ image, the person whips out a portfolio with a collection of multi-tools, pocket knives, and maybe also flashlights. Because when it comes to EDC, one is none, two is none, three is none, and maybe four is one.
In all seriousness, these look to be very neat compact pliers, although the price seems a tad high compared to other WorkPro pliers. Maybe that’s the EDC tax.
Thoughts?
