Workpro previously launched a couple of mini EDC pliers that are essentially less expensive copycats of popular Knipex pliers styles.
The Workpro Cobra-like mini adjustable pliers are now available in pink.
I posted about the plain silver-finish version late last year – see These Mini Pliers are Completely Unnecessary – I Love it!.
It’s small, measuring just over 4″ in length, very pocketable, easy to adjust, and has a max jaw opening width of 1″.
The tool works well for the money. If you can afford Knipex, buy Knipex and you’re very unlikely to regret it. If you want to stretch your budget, these pliers deliver passable performance at bargain pricing.
And you can now get it in pink. There’s also a golden “champagne” color too – you’ll find all of the available color options via the link below?
Why is that important? Brighter colors help me pick out tools in a bag or cluttered workspace. You could probably accomplish the same with some paint or colorful tape.
I have the feeling the pink color was designed to help the tool appeal to broader user types, but that’s okay.
Just because this was likely an aesthetics decisions, that doesn’t mean there isn’t functional benefit.
It’s not clear how they’re coloring the tools. Unless it’s direct treatment of the metal, and I’m not sure how you could turn tool steel pink without powder coat or similar, there’s a chance it’ll flake off with heavy use and abuse. Maybe it’s some kind of vapor coating, which would be more durable. That would be my only hesitation.
Price: ~$15-16
