Dewalt announced – via social media post – a new 20V Max XR series cordless brad nailer, DCN210.
Although it looks a bit bulky, Dewalt says this is their most compact cordless brad nailer yet, based on volume compared to their older tool.
Features include “pneumatic speed,” tool-free depth adjustment and jam release, and low nail lock-out LED.
The new Dewalt DCN210 18 gauge cordless brad nailer also features a “user ready mode select” for choosing between sequential and contact actuation. They say this “eliminates manual selection.”
I couldn’t find any details about how many nails you can expect to drive per charge.
It’s also not clear whether Dewalt went with a flywheel or air cylinder mechanism. They do say the DCN210 can drive “up to 5 nails per second.”
The new Dewalt battery-powered brad nailer is available in kit format, DCN210E1, or as a tool-only, DCN210B.
The kit comes with a Tool Connect chip adapter, tool bag, belt clip, 3 non-mar tips, compact charger, and XR PowerStack 1.7Ah battery.
Price: $349 for the bare tool, $419 for the kit

According to an image I found on Acme Tools, the nailer can work with brad nails 5/8″ to 2″.
The new Dewalt cordless brad nailer weighs 5 lbs, for the tool-only.
Compared to the Old Dewalt 20V Max Brad Nailer
Dewalt says this is is their most compact cordless 20V Max brad nailer.
But with respect to bulkiness, there’s still quite a bit of size to the motor compartment. These overlays were scaled to approximate size with the switch and battery compartment for size reference.
Without a doubt, the new DCN210 nailer is more compact than the older DCN680, with the main savings in its front-to-back length.
