Harbor Freight launched a new Yukon 36″ x 18″ rolling tool cabinet with 5 drawers.
There are 3 color options – red, black, and blue.
In their price compare section, Harbor Freight says that this saves you money compared to Kobalt.
At the time of this posting, the Harbor Freight Yukon is $349, and the Kobalt 5-drawer tool box in blue is priced at $379.
HF has 3 color options for the Yukon, and Lowe’s has 6 color options for their Kobalt, although most of the Kobalt colors are listed as not being available.
The two brands’ tool boxes look very similar to me, except for the powder coat color and handle trim – it’s possible that they’re made by the same company.
The Yukon features ball bearing drawer slides with 100 lb load rating for the top drawers and 200 lb for the deep bottom drawer with double slides.

At the time of this posting, Harbor Freight charges $469 ($330 + $139 delivery) plus tax for the Yukon tool cabinet if you opt for delivery, and Lowe’s charges $448 ($379 + $69 delivery) plus tax for the Kobalt in blue. Freight and delivery fees could vary depending on location.
Some of Kobalt’s color options are $508 ($429 plus $79 delivery) plus tax at this time.
Both retailers offer pickup as an option.
