When it comes to everyday carry gear, the best tools are the ones you actually remember to bring with you. A good pocket-sized multitool should balance capability and portability, offering real-world usefulness without feeling bulky or overbuilt. Whether you’re tackling small repairs, opening packages, making quick adjustments, or handling unexpected tasks while camping or traveling, a compact multitool can easily become one of the most relied-on items you own.
With this deal we found at Amazon, you can get the Gerber Gear Armbar Trade 8-in-1 Multitool for just $37, which is nearly 30% off its normal $50 price tag. Designed as a slim, pocket-friendly alternative to larger multitools, it focuses on practical functions that are easy to access and comfortable to use. At just 3.1 ounces with a 3.6-inch closed length, it’s lightweight and small enough for everyday carry while still offering a surprisingly capable set of tools for work, travel, or outdoor use.
This multitool includes eight integrated functions, built around a stainless steel frame with aluminum scales for durability without excess weight. You get a plain-edge blade with a secure frame lock, a two-sided 1/4-inch bit driver, pry bar, hammer, awl, saw, bottle opener, and a pocket clip for quick access. Unlike many multitools that cram in rarely used features, the Armbar Trade emphasizes tools you’re likely to reach for regularly. The slim profile makes it easy to slip into a pocket or bag, while the locking blade and sturdy construction make it feel confident during real use, whether on a campsite, jobsite, or around the house.
