Italian style meets American Muscle

Stradale Modena is a high-end boutique tuning company based in the Emilia-Romagna region — Italy’s ‘Motor Valley’. Home to Ferrari, Lamborghini, Pagani, Maserati, and Ducati, this region has a history steeped in mechanical excellence and opulence. While their neighbours hand-build some of the most legendary luxury and sports cars, Stradale Modena is directing that same Italian flair towards creating ultra-exclusive versions of the Jeep Wrangler and Gladiator that wouldn’t seem out of place at Monaco’s Casino Square, and with prices approaching supercar territory.

Reimagining the Jeep

Stradale Modena’s primary focus is building tuning packages for the Jeep Wrangler and Jeep Gladiator. These include aggressively styled custom wide-body kits, luxurious interiors, roof-mounted lights, reworked suspension, massive tyres and wheels, and fire-breathing engine options. Their creation based on the Wrangler is called the GTX, while the kitted-out Gladiator pickup is called the Xtrema.

On the Outside

The body kits feature wide fenders, oversized air intakes, sporty bumpers, sleek LED bars, a roof-mounted spoiler, and a rear diffuser with quad exhausts peeking through. The dual hood scoop and round emblem within the custom grille up front seem to take inspiration from Brabus, while the custom alloy wheels come shod with chunky 35-inch rubber, with the option to further upsize to 37 inches. Customers can choose from a wide variety of colors for their build, from discreet and elegant to bright and loud, and can opt for a piano black or naked carbon fiber finish for various external components.

On the inside

The luxurious interiors of Stradale Modena’s creations are completely customizable and are draped in leather and Alcantara with contrasting stitching and carbon fiber trim elements. Buyers can also spec their choice of infotainment system, a high-end sound system, and a full suite of driver-assistance tech. As with the outside, owners can choose from a wide range of colors and styles that suit their aesthetic.

Under the skin

While mechanical upgrades include a reworked suspension, it is the engines on offer that are grabbing all the headlines. While buyers can consider Jeep’s standard 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder motor or move up to the revvier 3.6-liter V6, Stradale Modena also has a couple of Hemi V8s on offer. The first of these is the naturally-aspirated 6.4-liter Hemi 392 putting out 485 horsepower, while those with an insatiable thirst for power can opt for the supercharged 6.2-liter Hellcat motor that pumps out over 700 horses.

Exclusivity Comes at a Price

While the base versions of Stradale Modena’s Jeep Wrangler GTX and Jeep Gladiator Xtrema cost between $110,000 and $120,000, the price rises rapidly as you start adding the many optional extras. The V8 engines are what will really leave a dent in your wallet, with the Hemi 392 coming in at around $40,000, and the Hellcat motor priced at just over $90,000. Fully specced out, Stradale Modena’s creations can cost as much as $340,000 — more than some exotic supercars, with the road presence, Italian craftsmanship, and firepower to match.
