Eklind Tools, a USA tool manufacturer that specializes in hex drivers and related products, recently filed a WARN notice with the state of Illinois.
WARN notices are filings that inform state agencies of mass layoff events.
According to the notice, Eklind Tools is closing their factory.
Eklind says in the notice that 112 jobs will be affected. They list their headquarters as the plant that is closing.
The figure of 112 workers being included in the layoffs seems to be in agreement with several online estimates.
Basically, it looks like Eklind Tools is shutting down.
Sadly, it looks like this is the end of an era for another USA tool brand.
