Klein Tools had previously launched a rafter square – see Klein Tools Launched a Rafter Square – and have now introduced a new trim square.

The bright orange-anodized trim square is available by itself, 9354SSQ, and as part of a 2-piece set with the rafter square, 93547SQVP.
Both squares are designed for common carpentry and woodworking marking tasks.
The rafter square measures 7″ on the short edge, and the trim square 4.5″. It seems they also launched a 12″ square (via Amazon).
Features include a precision angle guide on the rafter square and fine scribing notches on both – 1/8″ increments on the trim square and 1/4″ on the rafter square.

The trim square has dual reference bases at 1/4″ and 3/8″; the heel is asymmetrically offset, which can come in handy for tool setup or marking up wood.
This is far from the first aluminum trim square on the market, but it’s good to have more options.
Price: $14, $26 for the set
Other Trim Square Options

The Milwaukee trim square is marginally more expensive – $16 at the time of this posting – but is made in the USA whereas Klein’s is made in Asia.
It also has a dual reference heel, laser etched markings, and precision scribe notches at 1/8″ increments.
Stiletto is another option at a much higher price – see Stiletto Launched New USA-Made Carpenter Squares.

Johnson Level has a 4.5″ trim square, currently priced at $12.

For another USA-made option, consider the Swanson trim square, which is currently priced at $13.
