Home Depot Store Dewalt Tool Display in Winter 2026

I drove over to Home Depot the other day to buy just 1 item, a tarp so that I could move my cedar boards outdoors to save space.

I was greeted at the entrance – “welcome to Home Depot.”

I was greeted one more time on my way to the painting aisle. “Hi, can I help you find anything?”

I couldn’t find the tarps. I walked to tools – maybe they’re in the hardware section. I received 2 more greetings.

I checked my phone. Oh, it is in the tarp aisle, just a couple of bays over from where I was looking.

By the time I got to checkout, I lost track of how many Home Depot workers I had interacted with.

I like this Home Depot location. All of the interactions seem genuine. I’ve asked questions in the past and received on-the-spot answers or assistance in finding what I was looking for.

I’m not sure if it sounds right, but I always feel like a guest at this Home Depot location. I guess that’s the difference in attitude, even if these are forced or coached interactions.

What have your Home Depot or home center experiences been like?
