Here’s a roundup for developments in the tool world.
Bosch Leadership Changeup
Bosch Power Tools CEO and President, Thomas Donato, has announced via social media that he will be leaving the company on his own volition, to begin the next chapter of his professional journey.
According to a Bosch Power Tools post on social media, Michael Budde, from their Mobility Electronics division, will be Donato’s successor.
Bosch Power tools in the USA also went through a leadership change towards the end of last year, with John Paul Marcantonio appointed as the CEO and President of the North American business.
Before leading Bosch Power Tools in North America, Marcantonio was at Gale Pacific and Newell Brands (Rubbermaid, Graco Baby, Irwin, Lenox).
Protein!
This part isn’t tool related.

Protein Pop-Tarts? High fructose corn syrup, caramel color, red 40, yellow 6, blue 1, TBHQ as a preservative, and 30 grams of added sugar per serving. Now it’s got all that plus milk protein concentrate and wheat protein!
I get a box of Pop-Tarts once a year or so, and consider it ultra-processed junk food. I guess it’s now an ultra-processed snack with extra protein.

Tangy barbecue protein rice crisps?
I know protein has been a trend, but I’m now seeing it added to everything.

Protein breakfast bars? Okay, makes some sense. Candy? Pop-Tarts?
Resist the Algorithm
Marc – the Wood Whisperer made a good point via social media lately, about how to get around only seeing what various algorithms push to your social media feed.
A lot of good content is buried due to it not appeasing various platforms’ almighty algorithms. This is become a widespread issue everywhere – web, YouTube, and every social media service (Instagram, TikTok, etc).
Visit your subscriptions or following pages every now and then to see what the people you once deemed worthy of subscribing to are up to.
Not a lot of people realize this, but just because you subscribe to, follow, or like a channel or creator, that doesn’t mean you’ll see their content on the front page of whatever platform or service you consume content on.
Greenworks Social Media

I don’t get it.
WD 40, King of the Hill, Home Depot Collab

There’s going to be some kind of WD-40, King of the Hill, and Home Depot limited edition collaborative product.

Limited Edition WD-40? Hopefully it costs the same.
