Kinetic Customs Titanium Hammer Closeup

Social media can be a soul-draining place full of hype and slop. But, occasionally I come across gems such as Kinetic Customs, a titanium hammer company that was founded in 2018.

I don’t know much about the company. They’ve popped up a bunch of times, and seem to be a no-nonsense custom hammer maker. I finally took a closer look.

Kinetic Customs hammers are “proudly designed, engineered, and manufactured in the UK,” and they ship internationally.

From some of their content, it looks like the hammers are made in-house in small batches and maybe even to order.

Here are their core products:

Nighthawk Titanium Hammer – framing and finishing hammers
Raptor Aluminum Hammer – framing and finishing hammers
Falcon Aluminum Hammer – brick/tinners hammers
E-12 Hammer – electricians hammer
Pocket & Torpedo Levels
Utility Knives

The Nighthawk titanium hammer features a skeletonized-type handle.

Kinetic Customs Nighthawk Titanium Hammer Options

You choose the head style – 15oz smooth or milled, or 12oz smooth – and from several color options.

Then there’s the handle length – 16″ or 14.5″ – also with multiple color options.

Finally, you select the handle grip color.

Too many choices? Go with one of their popular combos, such as this “Purple Rain” Nighthawk hammer.

The pricing varies.

As shown the finish-style hammer with smooth 12oz head, 14.5″ handle, and grip is priced at $362.72. The milled head 15oz hammer with 16″ handle and grip is priced at $369.45.

Kinetic Customs Titanium Hammer Arctic Blast Combo

This Arctic Blast combo, with 15oz milled head, 16″ “raw” handle, and grip, is $355.98.

Kinetic Customs Titanium Hammer Green Gold and Red Combo

This custom combo is $369.45.

Kinetic Customs Nighthawk Titanium Hammer Nail Puller

The replaceable hardened steel nail puller, which is a standard inclusion, only comes in one color.

Kinetic Customs Nighthawk Titanium Hammer Mallet Face Cap

Mallet face caps are available for the Nighthawk framing head.

These prices are accurate as of the time of this posting, via their online store’s built-in currency conversion, and don’t include shipping or import taxes.

I’m familiar with Stiletto (owned by Milwaukee Tool, which is owned by publicly-traded TTI) and Martinez Tool (now owned by Hultafors, which is owned by a private investment company).

I’ve seen new hammer companies pop up over the years, and didn’t realize Kinetic Customs has been around since 2018. It’s great to have more options.

OMG the Price!

Titanium hammers are expensive. It’s turned into somewhat of a boutique industry. The way I see it, if you want a titanium hammer for the lighter swing, you might as well spend a little more for a color combo that speaks to you.

We can have a separate post for everyone to talk about titanium hammer pricing.

Here, let’s talk about Kinetic Customs. I’m especially eager to hear if any of you have tried them out.
